I've been told I moan more than the average person. So let's start this off as we mean to go on.
A list of things that piss me off.
I have ugly hands. I know this is not the be-all and end-all, but I have to look at them all day. Maddening.
The news. The state of the world. I can’t (and don’t need to) elaborate.
The fact that I can’t elaborate on point 2. I used to be clever! I have an International Relations degree! Where did it all go?
There aren’t enough pubs in London that are open late, or open for dancing. And please don’t tell me to go to Moth Club, because there aren’t enough toilets, which brings me nicely to my next point…
Queuing for the toilet. Hello - I have things to do??? Why does the world demand constant ACTION from women, then fail to equip us with the necessary amount of toilets?
The London —> Manchester train from Euston. Nothing kills the spirit more than joining the mass of commuters staring slack-jawed at the departures board, waiting, then having to run - actually run - to the train once announced, like it’s the last space shuttle off a dying planet.
Shoes that randomly give me blisters. And nobody even caring when I tell them I have a blister. My foot has just been wounded by shoes that were - until today- my favourite pair. Where is my sympathy? Where is my bravery award?
The way my phone and laptop auto-adjust their brightness settings. Who do they think is in charge here? Kindly allow me to blast the entire internet directly into my retinas, thanks.
People who pretend not to like McDonald’s. (Cowards).
